Floor Yoga

Whether Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, or Yin Yoga: in my classes you'll always find a mix of everything. Asana, pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation & regeneration, mantra chanting, and music are integral parts of my teaching. The goal is to enjoy movement, improve self-awareness and mindfulness, achieve a clear and healthy alignment of body and mind, as well as building endurance, strength, and flexibility.
In the intermediate classes, dynamic and powerful yoga predominates. It makes up about two-thirds of the class, with relaxation and stretching taking place in the last third.
We move in the flowing rhythm of our breath.
The varied, creative asana flows creates flexibility and ease in your movement and mind. It's the right place if you want to revitalize and move your body in a complete and holistic way.
The beginner classes are gentler and calmer; the poses being held longer, giving you time to feel your body, focus and reflect on your sensations. We stretch just as much as we build strength and endurance, and we take time to study the alignments and the technique of the asanas and experience their effects.

The roots of Aerial Yoga are grounded in Antigravity Yoga and Aerial Silk artistry. You swing suspended, weightless, and often upside down in a 3x6 meter ceiling-mounted cloth that supports and sustains you like a hammock. With its weightless inversion postures Aerial Yoga adds a new, exciting dimension to your practice.
Especially for your spine, the hammock is a blessing. The spinal column will be stretched in a unique way, without any weight on the neck and shoulders, and the spinal discs experience enormous relief.
By balancing your postures in the hammock your deeper muscle layers of neck, back, abdomen and hips will be challenged and strengthened.
Stabilizing not only your core but your entire body prevents injuries during involuntary or
sudden movements such as stumbling, bending, and evasive and twisting movements. The pressure of the cloth on the extremities promotes their lymphatic drainage. During inversion postures the internal organs shift out of their usual position and can detoxify.
Mentally we perform a 180° change of perspective. We experience the courage and self-confidence to let go. The gentle swaying and swinging of the cloth is soothing and promotes a meditative and relaxed state. Swinging, rocking and exploring awakens our joyful, childlike spirit.
